Dear Jean-Claude,

My friend Lynda was in the hospital with the “flesh eating disease” that Lucien Bouchard had. I kept telling all my customers who knew her to pray for her. One of my customers then told me of her story of how she almost died:  she went through 3 major operations in one month. Her sons were told to let her die in peace. Just before going to the hospital, someone she knew gave her the book of Ste Philomène. She kept reading the book and she survived the 3 operations and is now healthy. This customer told me that when she was to come for her appointment with me she would bring a book of Sainte Philomène for Lynda.

I saw my customer within two days and she brought the book for Lynda. She had promised the Saint that if she got well, she would give away 25 books to people who would need it.

After my appointment, I immediately went to the hospital to bring Lynda the book. Lynda had almost died, her fever was so high. The virus had attacked her knee and the swelling had gone up to her thigh. I told Lynda that Ste Philomène had helped my customer with her surviving and I asked Lynda to read the book. At this time, the doctors were talking about amputating her leg, and Lynda almost didn’t want to live. The doctors gave her massive amounts of antibiotics and scheduled an operation for Thursday. It was Sunday when I had brought the book. She read it every moment she could. Her attitude started to change and she wanted to finish the book before her operation. Thursday came and Lynda hadn’t finished the book. Miraculously the operation was postponed for the next day. Lynda had finished the book before going to her operation and she felt a presence with her as she went in and was less scared. The doctors took away some flesh but did not amputate the leg. Lynda kept praying to Ste Philomène. Miraculously, she survived. The wound on her leg was open for a few weeks to let the oxygen kill the bacteria. Her legs after one month in the hospital were like jello. She went for physio everyday when she came home. Now a month later, she is getting better everyday and is walking for now, till she gets stronger, with a cane. She claims that her prayers and novenas to Ste Philomène saved her.

                                                                                              Best regards,
